First Timers Starting Guide

How to Begin Physical Therapy

1.  Referrals  & Insurance

Most insurance companies do not require patients to obtain a doctor's referral before beginning physical therapy.  There are two exceptions to this: Medicare and Green Mountain Care (Vermont Medicaid), which do require a doctor's referral upon your first visit.

We accept most insurance plans including Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, MVP, Medicare, Green Mountain Care (Vermont Medicaid), and auto/worker's compensation claims.  Plans within each insurance company can vary greatly, so we recommend that every patient calls to see what their physical therapy benefit is.

2.  Schedule

Contact us to schedule your initial evaluation.  All appointments are 55 minutes of one-on-one treatment time with your therapist.  Call us by phone (802)863-9900 or request your appointment via our online request form.

 3.  That's it!  We look forward to working with you.
